Palm Springs Animal Hospital's Doctors

Dr. Peter Henein

Dr. Peter Henein received his Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Prior to relocating to Palm Springs, Dr. Henein worked in several busy practices throughout British Columbia and Orange County. His practice interests include small animal surgery, anesthesia as well as internal medicine. He is a member or the AVMA and the CVMA.

When he is not working, Dr. Henein enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys traveling, playing soccer, and exploring the attractions that sunny California has to offer.
 


 

Dr. John Chang

Dr. John Chang received his Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from Ross Univeristy. Prior to joining the Palm Springs Animal Hospital, Dr. Chang worked in several Southern California practices including an animal shelter.  Dr. Chang enjoys soft tissue surgery and challenging cases.  He is a member of the AVMA.

When he is not working, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and dogs and cat. He also enjoys fishing and planted aquarium.

 

Dr. Diane Kim

Dr. Diane Kim received her Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from Western University. Prior to joining the Palm Springs Animal Hospital, Dr. Kim worked in several Southern California practices.   She is a member of the AVMA.

When she is not working, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and pet family. She also enjoys fishing and being with family.

Dr. Shayda Ahkami

Dr. Shayda Ahkami received her Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from Saint George University.  Prior to joining the Palm Springs Animal Hospital, Dr. Shayda worked in both the private and non-profit worlds of veterinary medicine.   She enjoys soft tissue surgery and dentistry.  Dr. Shayda is a vegetarian and a strong supporter of the "No Kill" philosophy.  Dr. Shayda is on her way to becoming "Fear Free" certified which is reducing stress to our patients.  She is a member of the AVMA.

When she is not working, Dr. Shayda enjoys spending time with her pet family. She also enjoys traveling abroad especially the islands.
